Ibanez AE Series Acoustic-Electric Guitars

For a home studio, an acoustic-electric offers more than one way to capture a part. The Ibanez AE Series gives you a Fishman Sonicore pickup and AEQ preamp for a direct signal, so you can track ideas quickly into an interface without setting up a mic. When a song needs more air, the same guitar can sit in front of a microphone too, and you can blend the two.

The line offers choices for different sessions. AE models cover everyday tracking. AEW guitars, including the AEW120BG, use exotic-wood tops and give you another tonal flavor to try. AEG slim-body models are comfortable for long takes, and the nylon-string versions add a softer voice for ballads and Latin-flavored arrangements. AEWC extends the family further.

Thinner necks and cutaway bodies keep overdubs and lead lines easy to play, which helps when you are chasing a take. Studio Gears keeps the live grid below up to date with what is available.
