For tracking, a thinline acoustic-electric offers a different tool than a full-size flattop. The LTD TL series pairs a slim, cutaway body with an onboard preamp, giving you a direct-in acoustic-style signal that is quick to set up for demos, overdubs and writing sessions in a home studio.

The three voicings give you useful variety in the mix. The TL-6 covers standard steel-string parts, the TL-6N nylon model suits soft fingerstyle and classical-flavored layers, and the TL-12 twelve-string is a natural fit for doubling rhythm parts to add width and shimmer. A left-handed TL-6 and a TL-5 bass in the family round out the options for different players in your room.

Current pricing runs roughly $669 to $719, which keeps the series approachable when you are building out a guitar collection for recording. Studio Gears keeps the live grid below current, so see what is available for your next session.
