Kirk Hammett Signature Guitars for Recording

For producers and engineers chasing a heavy rock or metal lead tone, the Kirk Hammett KH series is a ready-made starting point. The EMG pickups give a consistent, high-output signal that works well with amp sims and mic'd cabs, and the Floyd Rose tremolo adds dive-bomb and vibrato effects to tracked solos. Studio Gears carries the LTD and ESP models together so you can compare them in one place.

The lineup covers different session needs. The KH-202 and KH-602 are workhorse LTD guitars for home studios, with left-handed versions for lefty players. The KH-V and KH-Demonology offer different shapes and graphics, and might look striking in a video or a promo shoot. At the top, the ESP KH-3 Spider 30th Anniversary guitar is a premium option for a serious tracking room.

Pair any of them with your favorite high-gain amp or plugin chain for rhythm layers and lead lines. The grid below updates with current stock, including B-Stock finishes.

Kirk Hammett Signature Guitars (ESP & LTD) - frequently asked questions

What features do Kirk Hammett signature guitars have in common?

The KH models share EMG pickups, Floyd Rose tremolos and skull-and-crossbones inlays. The family covers the KH-202, KH-602, V-shaped KH-V, the graphic-finish KH-Demonology with its Ouija artwork, and the ESP KH-3 Spider, so you can choose between a classic look and a more dramatic one.

Which Kirk Hammett guitar is best for someone new to the series?

The LTD KH-202 and KH-602 are the accessible way into the series, with the same signature look and hardware as the rest of the family. The range runs from these entry-level models up to the ESP KH-3 Spider, a 30th Anniversary model at the top of the lineup.

Are left-handed and B-Stock Kirk Hammett guitars available?

Yes. Left-handed versions of the KH-202 and KH-602 are part of the range. B-Stock units are also offered, including open-box KH-602 and KH-Demonology guitars at a discount. They are fully covered, so they are a smart option if you want the Hammett look for less. Free shipping within the US applies.
