Wylde Audio Goregehn Guitars for Recording

For the studio, the Goregehn offers a clear, consistent tonal recipe. A mahogany body and set maple neck provide the weight and definition that high-gain rhythm tracks rely on, and the 24.75" scale keeps the response familiar for anyone used to classic humbucker-equipped guitars. At Studio Gears, it appeals to producers who track heavy parts.

EMG 81/85 pickups are the center of the workflow. Active-style humbuckers tend to deliver a tight, controlled signal, which helps when stacking double-tracked rhythm guitars or feeding an amp sim, a DI and reamp chain, or a miked cabinet. The pairing gives you a bridge voice for riffs and leads and a neck voice for smoother passages.

Because every Goregehn shares the same core build, finish is the main variable: Cocobolo Psychic Bullseye, Rawtop Buzzsaw or the Blood River Burl Special Edition. That makes it easy to add a dependable metal-oriented guitar to a session rig, with pricing in a tight range of roughly $1,700 to $1,900.

Wylde Audio Goregehn Guitars - frequently asked questions

What is the Wylde Audio Goregehn guitar made of?

The Goregehn uses a mahogany body, a set maple neck and a 24.75" scale length. It is loaded with a pair of EMG 81/85 pickups. That gives it a traditional-leaning build under an angular, aggressive body shape, and the same recipe is used across the Wylde Audio line.

Is the Wylde Audio Goregehn a good guitar for metal?

Yes, it suits heavy rock and metal players. The EMG 81/85 active-style high-output humbuckers deliver a focused voice, while the mahogany and maple construction keeps the feel traditional. The angular Goregehn shape also gives it a bold look. Every instrument is set up and professionally packed before it ships.

What is the difference between the Goregehn finishes?

The models share the same Goregehn design and specs, so the difference is mostly finish. Cocobolo Psychic Bullseye and Rawtop Buzzsaw are the core looks, and the Blood River Burl Special Edition adds a more distinctive top. Some listings carry Schecter branding and others Wylde Audio, but the guitar is the same.
