Takamine Signature Series Acoustics

For recording acoustic parts, the Takamine Signature Series offers a set of Japan-made, Legacy-grade guitars, each voiced to an artist's taste: Glenn Frey, John Jorgenson, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney and Steve Wariner. Dreadnought and jumbo bodies are a classic choice for strummed rhythm tracks and full-range singer-songwriter sessions, giving producers a rich source to capture.

Think of the lineup as a palette. The Jorgenson 12-string is a natural for doubling and widening a chorus, adding shimmer that sits above a mix without extra layering. The Frey EF360GF is an electric-acoustic, so you can record a direct signal alongside a microphone and blend the two at the mixing stage. Since each model is tuned to a different player's spec, auditioning a few helps you match a guitar to the song.

Studio Gears offers these for home-studio owners and engineers who want character built into the source. Current pricing runs from about $2,499 to $2,649, and the grid below reflects what is available now.
