Sound & Tone
The swamp ash body with its stabilized/epoxy top gives a lively, well-defined foundation, and the 25.5" scale with a maple fretboard adds tightness and attack that keeps low-tuned riffing clear. The Schecter Brimstone humbuckers push high output with harmonic richness, handling aggressive metal rhythms and lead work while still cleaning up with articulation. Pulling the push/pull coil-split thins things out into brighter single-coil territory for funk, pop, or clean arpeggio parts, making the three-way blade a quick route between modern gain and snappier voices.
Schecter USA Sunset Extreme 6 Stabilized Top Electric Guitar Open Box
Handcrafted in the Schecter USA Custom Shop, this instrument is engineered for tracking and studio session work with exceptional upper-fret access and responsive playability through its contoured ultra-access bolt-on design. The 5-ply maple/walnut neck with carbon fiber reinforcement and custom Thin C profile delivers fast, stable intonation under the hands during long recording days, while the natural satin finish creates a seamless blend between neck and body. The stunning hybrid stabilized/epoxy top over swamp ash ensures no two guitars are identical, combining visual appeal with the tonal character that translates beautifully through microphones and direct-in signals alike.
Playability & Construction
The contoured bolt-on neck design maximizes access to all 24 frets while maintaining structural integrity through reinforced carbon fiber rods—critical for session work requiring quick position shifts and consistent tone. At 25.5" scale, the flamed maple fretboard hosts 24 Jescar stainless steel frets with reverse offset aluminum ring inlays and Luminlay side dots for visibility during recording and production work. The Graph Tech Black Tusq nut and Hipshot locking tuners lock in tuning stability between takes, while the Hipshot Ibby HM bridge ensures precise intonation and consistent playing feel across the entire range—essential for maintaining tone cohesion across multiple recording passes.
Tone & Recording Character
Schecter Brimstone humbuckers in HH configuration capture high-output tones with rich harmonic complexity and clarity that sit well in dense mixes, translating equally well for aggressive textures and articulate, defined cleans. A push/pull coil-split on the master volume control unlocks single-coil tones on demand, all routed through a straightforward 3-way blade switch for instant tonal versatility without menu-diving—ideal for tracking multiple takes with sonic variation.
