Sound & Tone
The Black Limba body with a Birdseye Maple top and Macassar Ebony fretboard leans toward a warm, resonant core with firm attack, while the 25.5" scale and stainless steel frets keep note definition tight and bright under gain. Schecter's Apocalypse humbuckers, using Alnico V and ceramic VIII magnets, push high-output clarity that holds together for modern rock, metal, and technical lead work across all 24 frets. The push/pull coil-split and 3-way blade switch open up thinner, single-coil-voiced tones for cleans and rhythm parts, making it workable for players who move between heavy passages and more articulate, dynamic material.
Schecter USA Sunset Extreme 6 Exotic Birdseye Guitar Open Box
The Sunset Extreme 6 tracks with exceptional clarity and responsiveness, offering a balanced platform for both rhythm and lead tracking. Its Black Limba body with contoured ergonomics and ultra-access cutaway enables precise upper-fret articulation for layered parts and solo work. The custom thin C neck profile combined with a 25.5" scale delivers fast navigation across the fretboard, translating to efficient session work and repeatable takes. This is a premium American-made instrument engineered for studio capture, tonal range, and visual consistency across production setups.
Playability & Construction
The neck assembly features a 5-ply Black Limba and Purple Heart construction reinforced with carbon fiber rods for exceptional stability and minimal neck movement. A Macassar Ebony fretboard with 24 Jescar Stainless Steel frets (6100 equivalent) and a 16" radius provides both durability and smooth playability across dynamic playing styles, while the 2-way adjustable spoke wheel truss rod allows precise action adjustment. The Graphtech Black Tusq nut (1.67" width) and reverse offset aluminum ring inlays with paua abalone centers complete a neck that demands to be played.
Tone & Electronics
Two Schecter Apocalypse humbuckers utilizing Alnico V and ceramic VIII magnets deliver articulate, high-output tone with clarity and presence across the frequency spectrum. The passive configuration with a master volume push/pull coil-split control and 3-way blade switch provides studio versatility—from warm, full humbucker tones suited to rhythmic foundation to articulate single-coil-voiced textures ideal for cutting through dense mixes. Hipshot locking tuners and the Hipshot Ibby HM bridge ensure rock-solid tuning stability and precise intonation across recording sessions.
