Description
Sound & Tone
The Fishman Fluence Modern set gives this Sunset-6 two clear personalities: the ceramic bridge pickup pushes tight, high-output crunch and clarity that holds together under heavy gain, while the alnico neck unit leans warmer and rounder for leads and clean passages, with additional voices available through the 5-way switch and push-pull volume. Basswood body with a set maple neck and ebony fretboard keeps the midrange focused and the attack quick, and the Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru body adds sustain and note definition. At 25.5" scale with an ultra-thin neck and stainless X-Jumbo frets, it suits modern metal, prog, and hard rock players who need fast riffing and articulate cleans from the same instrument.
Schecter Sunset-6 Red Dawn Gloss Black Electric Guitar
The Sunset-6 Red Dawn is built for tracking and mixing sessions where responsiveness and tonal range matter. Its fast, comfortable neck pairs with modern Fishman electronics that capture everything from aggressive high-gain textures to articulate, transparent cleans—all switchable within a single take. The ultra-thin neck profile and 25.5" scale length encourage precise technique, while the gloss black finish with red binding presents a professional appearance in the studio and on tape.
Session Playability & Neck Design
The ultra-thin "C" neck shape paired with a 42mm Graphtech Black Tusq XL nut and 24 stainless-steel X-Jumbo frets provides a low-action, consistent platform for both fingerpicked detail work and aggressive picking patterns. A 16" fretboard radius balances comfort across the full range while the 3-piece maple set neck with Ultra-Access design keeps upper frets fully accessible without compromise—critical for layered overdubs and seamless position shifts.
Recording Tone & Pickup Flexibility
Dual Fishman Fluence Modern pickups—ceramic in the bridge and alnico in the neck—deliver three distinct voice options via the 5-way switch and push-pull master volume control, letting you explore different tonal palettes without re-mic'ing or adjusting preamp settings. The ceramic bridge pickup cuts through dense mixes with articulate punch, while the alnico neck pickup adds warmth and dimension to rhythm layers. The Tonepros Locking Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru body ensures rock-solid tuning stability across all tracking takes and eliminates retuning downtime between session sections.

Frequently Asked Questions
What pickup voices does the Fluence system offer?
The Fishman Fluence Modern pickups provide three distinct voices selectable via the 5-way switch, spanning from aggressive high-output ceramic punch in the bridge to smooth alnico warmth in the neck. The push-pull master volume control adds an additional layer of tonal sculpting for both rhythm and lead work.
Is the ultra-thin neck comfortable for players with larger hands?
The ultra-thin C-profile neck is designed for speed and precision technique; players with larger hands may find it snug. The 25.5-inch scale length and low 16-inch fretboard radius support fast movement across the full range, but hand comfort is subjective—try one in person if possible.
What genres does this guitar work best in?
The Sunset-6 excels in metal, hard rock, progressive rock, and modern styles where aggressive gain and articulate cleans are both essential. It is less suited to traditional jazz, folk, and country playing.
What hardware and materials make up the bridge and nut?
The guitar features a Tonepros Locking Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru body design for enhanced sustain and tuning stability, paired with a 42mm Graphtech Black Tusq XL nut that ensures precise intonation and reliable tuning hold.
