Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and bolt-on maple neck give the Damien-8 a firm, focused voice, while the 25.5" to 27.5" multiscale layout keeps the low strings tight and defined rather than loose or muddy. Dual Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups push an aggressive, articulate midrange that stays legible in dense mixes, with the push-pull tone control and 3-way switch offering some room to thin things out for cleaner passages. It's aimed squarely at metal, djent, and progressive rock players who need eight-string range with clear note separation, built in a genuine left-handed configuration.
Schecter Damien-8 Multiscale Lefty Electric Guitar
The Damien-8 Multiscale Lefty captures articulate, controlled recordings across all eight strings thanks to its ergonomic mahogany body and multiscale fretboard design that balances string tension and response from the lowest frequencies to the highest. The thin "C" neck profile with carbon fiber reinforcement eliminates the ergonomic compromises that plague many left-handed extended-range instruments, letting you track extended passages without hand fatigue or technique degradation. This instrument excels in heavy styles, djent, progressive metal, and any session demanding precision articulation, clarity through dense arrangements, and the extended low-end control that eight strings provide.
Playability & Construction
The maple neck with carbon fiber rods maintains long-term stability in the studio, while the 25.5" to 27.5" multiscale design preserves consistent string tension across all eight strings without sacrificing comfort or fret access. Twenty-four jumbo frets on a 20" radius rosewood fretboard enable rapid position changes and accurate intonation tracking, while the Graph Tech Black Tusq nut and 2-way truss rod system keep the instrument sonically and structurally stable through session work and repeated overdubs.
Tone & Recording Character
Dual Schecter Heretic-8 pickups capture articulate, aggressive tone that punches through complex mixes without losing string definition, translating equally well to heavy riff articulation and intricate harmonic layering during overdub sessions. The volume and push-pull tone control with 3-way switching supplies mix-critical tonal shaping on the fly, while metal knurled knobs and the Hipshot multiscale fixed bridge deliver rock-solid sustain and minimal acoustic bleed—essential for clean tracking and editing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does B-Stock mean, and will these cosmetic marks affect playability or tone?
B-Stock means the guitar is fully functional with minor cosmetic imperfections. This unit has small clear coat delamination on the headstock top and player side of the headstock. These marks are purely superficial and have zero impact on playability, tone, structural integrity, or recording quality; you retain full manufacturer warranty coverage.
Is this guitar suitable for left-handed players, or is it just a flipped right-handed model?
This is a genuine left-handed instrument engineered from the ground up for southpaw players. The thin "C" neck profile, multiscale fretboard design, Hipshot 8-string multiscale fixed bridge, and all hardware are configured specifically for left-handed ergonomics, eliminating the compromises that come with converted right-handed models.
What genres and playing styles is this 8-string best suited for?
The Damien-8 Multiscale is purpose-built for metal, djent, progressive rock, and extended-range work where articulation and clarity matter. Its articulate, aggressive tone cuts through dense mixes, making it ideal for heavy riffs and complex harmonic passages; it is not recommended for blues, jazz, or country styles.
How does the multiscale design (25.5" to 27.5") benefit 8-string playing?
The multiscale fretboard keeps string tension consistent across all eight strings without cramping or awkward feel. This design maintains proper intonation and playability from the lowest frequencies to the highest, essential for extended-range instruments where balanced tension is critical.
What pickup configuration and tonal controls does this guitar offer?
The Damien-8 features dual Schecter Heretic-8 pickups (bridge and neck) that deliver articulate, aggressive voicing with defined high-end and controlled low-end tension. A volume/tone push-pull control with 3-way lever selector provides essential tonal flexibility for different playing approaches and mix compatibility.
