Description

Sound & Tone

Mahogany gives this C-1 a thick, warm midrange foundation, while the bolt-on maple neck and 25.5" scale add snap, tightness and clear note separation for low-tuned riffing. The Schecter Hellfire humbuckers push a high-output, aggressive voice suited to modern metal, hard rock and progressive playing, with the neck position offering enough smoothness for sustaining leads. The Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through anchoring supports long sustain and solid tuning stability, and the flat 14" radius with 24 jumbo frets favors fast runs and wide bends.

Schecter C-1 Hydro-dip LH guitar in Midnight Tide

The Schecter C-1 Hydro-dip brings a true water-transfer hydro-dip finish to Schecter's workhorse C-1 platform. Every body is dipped by hand, so the swirl of metallic blue (Midnight Tide) across the arched top, sides, back and headstock is one of a kind — no two guitars share the same pattern. Under the finish sits a full-spec modern C-1: mahogany body, bolt-on rock maple neck, Richlite fingerboard, locking tuners and a pair of Schecter Hellfire humbuckers optimized for tracking and mix-ready clarity. This is the left-handed version.

Neck and playability

A bolt-on rock maple neck with Schecter's Thin “C” profile (20 mm at the 1st fret, 22 mm at the 12th) carries a 25.5” scale, 14” radius Richlite fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, black 1-ply binding and aluminum offset/reverse-circle inlays with a hydro-dip inlay at the 12th fret. A Graph Tech Black Tusq XL nut (42 mm) and a 2-way truss rod round out the neck; the satin-black finished neck and tilt-back headstock with volute are pure C-1. The comfortable profile and precise fret work translate directly into tight takes and consistent intonation across sessions.

Body, electronics and hardware

The mahogany body (47 mm, arched top with R4 bottom-edge radius) is loaded with Schecter Hellfire HB105SC humbuckers in the neck and bridge—voices that deliver articulate highs and focused lows without sacrificing punch in a dense mix. Wiring runs to volume, tone and a 3-way toggle with a Switchcraft jack for solid signal integrity. A TonePros T3BT Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring, Schecter locking tuners and satin black hardware ensure rock-solid tuning stability and resonant sustain across takes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What genres is this guitar built for?

The C-1 Hydro-dip excels in hard rock, metal, progressive, and djent styles. The Schecter Hellfire humbuckers and mahogany body are tuned for tight low-end clarity, articulate mids, and aggressive high-end definition—not ideal for folk, country, or jazz applications.

Is this left-handed or right-handed?

This is a left-handed model (LH). The neck, body, pickguard, and hardware are all mirrored for southpaw players.

What makes the Midnight Tide finish unique?

Each C-1 Hydro-dip receives a hand-applied water-transfer hydro-dip in Midnight Tide (metallic blue). Because every guitar is dipped individually, the metallic blue swirl pattern across the arched top, sides, back, and headstock is completely one-of-a-kind—no two guitars share the same finish.

What pickups does it come with, and what do they sound like?

The C-1 ships with a pair of Schecter Hellfire HB105SC humbuckers—one in the neck, one in the bridge. They're voiced for tight, focused lows, articulate midrange presence, and aggressive high-end clarity with strong sustain, ideal for heavy and technical playing.

What is the neck profile, and who should play it?

The Thin C-profile neck measures 20 mm at the 1st fret and 22 mm at the 12th fret, paired with a 25.5-inch scale and 14-inch radius Richlite fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. This profile suits intermediate to advanced and professional players who value speed and comfort in higher registers without sacrificing classic feel.
