JBL AM7212/26 Two-way Full Range Loudspeaker
The JBL AM7212/26 is a versatile two-way system engineered to capture and reproduce content with clarity and punch in studio monitoring, post-production, and small-venue recording applications. Its robust birch enclosure and precision-engineered driver pairing deliver articulate midrange definition and extended low-end response with minimal distortion, making it a dependable choice for recording studios, control rooms, and mobile recording setups requiring accurate field monitoring or mix verification.
Audio Performance for Recording & Monitoring
This system achieves 95 dB SPL sensitivity (1W @ 1m) and reaches 133 dB-SPL continuous average in bi-amp mode, with HF peaks at 139 dB, providing ample headroom for detailed mix work and session monitoring without dynamic compression. The 42 Hz – 18 kHz (±3 dB) frequency response and 120° x 60° coverage pattern deliver consistent tonality across multiple listening positions in control rooms and tracking spaces, enabling reliable mixing decisions and accurate playback verification across different working heights and angles.
Design & Build
The enclosure features multi-ply birch construction with DuraFlex finish and heavy internal bracing, paired with a 14-gauge steel grille and acoustically transparent foam lining. Fifteen M10 threaded attachment points and a rotatable waveguide enable flexible positioning for nearfield or midfield placement in vertical or horizontal configurations, adapting to studio layouts and mobile recording environments.
