Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and set-neck construction with a Macassar ebony fingerboard give this Iron Cross a thick, focused midrange with strong sustain, while the EMG JH SET active pickups add high-output clarity that keeps palm-muted riffs tight and articulate under heavy gain. The 24.75" scale lends a slightly slinkier feel and warmth to power chords, and the Tonepros locking bridge and tailpiece help notes ring out cleanly and stay in tune through aggressive playing. Independent neck and bridge volumes plus a master tone allow quick shifts between snarling rhythm attack and smoother lead voicings, making it well suited to metal, hard rock, and any style that needs precision at high volume.
ESP LTD Iron Cross Snow White James Hetfield Guitar with Case
The ESP LTD Iron Cross cuts through dense mixes with aggressive clarity and punch—a design engineered for tracking heavy riffs and intricate lead work with lightning-quick response. The thick, focused tone delivers that signature Hetfield snarl across distorted power chords and sustained solos, sitting forward in the mix without losing definition. The fast, flat neck profile and direct hardware connectivity reward both rhythmic brutality and melodic expression, making it equally effective for layering rhythm takes and nailing solo passages in the studio. This snow white finish with black stripes makes an unmistakable visual statement in session documentation.
Playability & Feel
The thin U neck contour combined with a 24.75" scale and 42mm nut width creates a fast playing surface optimized for aggressive technique across multiple takes and session variations. The 350mm fingerboard radius and 22 XJ frets with iconic Iron Cross inlay at the 12th fret provide consistent action and quick position transitions, essential for punching in precise parts and maintaining performance consistency throughout long tracking sessions.
Tone & Electronics
Dual EMG JH SET active pickups deliver the high-output aggression needed for modern recording, with independent volume controls for neck and bridge plus a master tone knob and toggle switch for tonal versatility across different session needs. The Tonepros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece ensures rock-solid tuning stability and sustain, critical for maintaining intonation through multiple takes and ensuring punchy, defined tracking.
