Description
Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and set-neck build give this EC-1000 a thick, warm foundation, while the ebony fingerboard and active EMG pickups keep the attack tight and articulate. The EMG 81 at the bridge delivers high-output bite and fast transient response for heavy riffing and lead work, and the EMG 60 at the neck stays clear and focused for cleaner passages and sustained bends. With a 24.75" scale, 24 frets and a locking TOM bridge, it suits metal, hard rock and blues-inflected lead playing where tuning stability and note definition matter — now in a dedicated left-handed build.
ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 VB Vintage Black Lefty Guitar
This EC-1000 VB delivers the buttery smooth playability that defines the EC platform, with a neck and fretboard engineered for fluid lead work and complex voicings. The Vintage Black finish pairs with premium active electronics that produce articulate, punchy tones with remarkable clarity and sustain—ideal for tracking heavy riffs, blues bends, and intricate passages in the studio. Built as a dedicated left-handed instrument, it offers perfect balance and ergonomic comfort for extended recording and practice sessions.
Playability & Recording Performance
The mahogany neck features a thin U contour and ebony fingerboard with 24 XJ frets across a 24.75" scale, creating a fast, comfortable playing surface that captures nuanced performances. The set-neck construction and 13.78" (350mm) radius support both aggressive bends and open chord shapes with consistent intonation, while the 42mm nut width accommodates fingerstyle and pick work without hand strain—essential for capturing clean, repeatable takes.
Tone & Studio Electronics
Active EMG pickups—EMG 81 at the bridge and EMG 60 at the neck—deliver high-output clarity with fast transient response and controlled sustain that sits naturally in dense mixes. The Tonepros Locking TOM Bridge & Tailpiece paired with LTD Locking Tuners ensures rock-solid intonation and tuning stability across multiple takes and session work, while gold hardware complements the premium build quality and signal integrity.

As a B-Stock instrument it carries a minor factory cosmetic blemish — a small finish mark with no effect on playability, tone or structure — which is why it sells for less than a first-quality unit. The exact blemish varies from unit to unit, so it is not described or pictured here; photos show the model, not the individual unit. It is new, unplayed and covered by the full manufacturer warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does B-Stock mean for this guitar?
B-Stock indicates the guitar is new and unplayed with full manufacturer warranty coverage, but carries a minor factory cosmetic blemish—such as a small finish mark—that has no effect on playability, tone, or structural integrity. The exact cosmetic imperfection varies by unit and is not pictured or detailed here.
Is this guitar suitable for left-handed players?
Yes—this is a fully dedicated left-handed instrument with the body, neck, pickguard, and hardware all configured for left-hand playing. The ergonomic comfort and balance are engineered specifically for lefty orientation.
What genres and playing styles does this guitar excel at?
It is designed for metal, hard rock, blues, progressive, and studio sessions. The high-output EMG pickups and fast neck make it ideal for heavy riffs, lead solos, and complex voicings; it is not optimized for folk or country styles.
How does the tone compare to other professional solidbodies in this class?
The EMG 81/60 active pickup set delivers articulate, punchy tones with fast transient response and warm sustain—comparable to the Schecter Hellraiser C-1, Jackson Soloist SL2, and Ibanez RG Premium. The mahogany construction and set-neck add responsiveness and clarity across heavy and nuanced passages.
What neck specifications should I know about?
The mahogany neck features a thin U contour, 24 XJ frets, 24.75-inch scale, 42mm nut width, and 13.78-inch (350mm) radius. This spec supports both aggressive bends and open chords, and the 42mm nut width reduces hand strain during extended sessions.
Do I pay sales tax on this order?

Marketplaces collect sales tax as the facilitator in most states, so the same listed price can cost more there. Buyers remain responsible for any use tax their state applies.
