Description
Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and set-neck build give this EC-1000 a thick, warm foundation, while the ebony fingerboard and 24.75" scale keep note attack tight and articulate with a slightly relaxed string feel. The active EMG 81 at the bridge delivers high-output bite and controlled sustain for heavy riffing and lead work, and the EMG 60 at the neck offers a clearer, more focused voice for blues bends and melodic passages. With 24 frets, a thin U neck profile and locking bridge and tuners, it suits left-handed players working in metal, hard rock and modern lead styles that demand tuning stability and cutting clarity.
ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 VB Vintage Black Lefty Guitar
This EC-1000 VB captures articulate, punchy tones with remarkable clarity and sustain—ideal for tracking heavy riffs, blues bends, and intricate passages in the studio. The Vintage Black finish pairs with premium active electronics engineered for recording presence and defined transient response. Built as a dedicated left-handed instrument, it delivers the buttery smooth playability that defines the EC platform, enabling extended tracking sessions and complex voicings without hand fatigue.
Playability & Tracking Performance
The mahogany neck features a thin U contour and ebony fingerboard with 24 XJ frets across a 24.75" scale, creating a fast surface optimized for both aggressive bends and open chord shapes during overdubs. The set-neck construction and 13.78" (350mm) radius support clean intonation capture on every take, while the 42mm nut width accommodates fingerstyle and pick dynamics without compromising hand position consistency.
Tone & Recording Electronics
Active EMG pickups—EMG 81 at the bridge and EMG 60 at the neck—deliver high-output clarity with fast transient response and controlled sustain that cuts through dense mixes. The Tonepros Locking TOM Bridge & Tailpiece paired with LTD Locking Tuners ensures tuning stability across multiple takes and overdub sessions, while gold hardware complements the premium build quality and recording reliability.
