Sound & Tone
The solid spruce top over sapele back and sides gives this Takamine a clear, resonant voice with crystalline trebles and full lows, balanced enough to handle both delicate fingerstyle and driving strummed rhythm. The 25.4" scale and 42.5mm nut keep string tension even and fretting spacing comfortable, while the FX cutaway opens up the upper frets for lead lines and extended chord voicings. Amplified, the TP-3G preamp with its 3-band EQ reproduces that acoustic character transparently, suiting folk, singer-songwriter, pop, and light rock work on stage or at a home recording setup.
Takamine GF49CE Acoustic Electric Guitar Cosmic Black Sparkle
The GF49CE captures a responsive, balanced acoustic voice through its rounded FX cutaway body and fast mahogany neck that tracks cleanly during tracking sessions. The solid spruce top paired with sapele back and sides produces warm, crystalline trebles and full-bodied lows that sit naturally in the mix for both fingerstyle arrangements and rhythmic layers. Built-in TP-3G electronics with integrated tuner and 3-band EQ enable direct recording to your DAW or mixing console without external preamps, making tracking quick and efficient in home studio setups.
Playability & Tracking Comfort
The 42.5mm nut width and 644mm (25.4") scale length deliver comfortable fretting spacing and balanced finger tension across the 21 frets. The mahogany neck and laurel fingerboard provide stability during extended recording sessions, while the FX cutaway grants access to upper frets for layering solos, fills, and extended techniques that expand your arrangement palette.
Tone & Direct Recording
The solid spruce top with sapele body woods establishes a naturally resonant acoustic foundation that maintains clarity and definition when tracked directly into your interface. The onboard TP-3G preamp features a built-in tuner and full tone-shaping capability—volume, bass, mid, and treble controls—delivering transparent amplification with minimal signal coloration, perfect for achieving consistent takes across multiple overdubs.
