Mixing & I/O Architecture

Built around 24 recallable mic preamps plus 4 line inputs feeding 66 input processing channels, the Si Expression 2 accommodates multitrack recording and overdub sessions without sacrificing signal clarity. Additional AES input, 64x64 expansion slot, and 16 balanced line outputs with AES output and optional expansion provide flexible routing for both analog and digital workflows, bridging hardware outboard gear with DAW-based production.

Processing & Effects Engine

Each input channel includes dedicated high pass filter, input delay, gate, compressor, and four-band EQ, giving you surgical control over source material at the point of capture and throughout the mix process. The console houses four stereo Lexicon FX processors based on the MX400, along with 14 configurable aux/group mixes, 4 matrix mixes, and 4 Lexicon FX buses, providing ample creative options for effects routing, parallel compression, and submix organization during tracking and mixdown.
