Frequently Asked Questions
What does Cat5 Neutrik MADI connection mean, and do I need a compatible console?
MADI over Cat5 carries up to 64 channels of digital audio down a single Ethernet-style cable with Neutrik connectors, dramatically reducing cable runs and stage clutter. Your host console must support MADI input; the stage box acts as a remote I/O expander, so verify your mixer or interface has a MADI port before ordering.
Can I expand the I/O beyond 32 inputs and 8+8 outputs?
Yes—two expansion slots accept standard Studer D21m I/O cards, allowing you to scale the system up to 64 inputs and 64 outputs total via the MADI link. Each card is purchased separately and installed in the stage box.
What happens if one power supply fails during a show?
The twin redundant power supplies ensure uninterrupted operation; if one fails, the other automatically sustains the unit, so you can complete your set without dropout or restart.
What is the GPIO interface, and what can it control?
The 8-channel GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) interface lets you trigger external devices, relays, and switching logic remotely from your console or via the stage box, giving hands-on control over lighting cues, relay boards, or other outboard gear during your mix.
Does this come with cables and cards, or are they sold separately?
The stage box ships with the 4U rackmount unit, twin power supplies, and thermostat fan cooling; Cat5 cables, Neutrik connectors, and expansion D21m cards are ordered separately based on your setup.
Do I pay sales tax on this order?
