Description
Seymour Duncan SLSD-1b Li'l Screamin' Demon Black Pickup
The SLSD-1b Li'l Screamin' Demon is a single coil-sized humbucker engineered to capture aggressive, articulate bridge-position tone in recording sessions without requiring routing modifications. Its dual coil design delivers the harmonic complexity and output punch of a full humbucker while fitting seamlessly into single coil cavities—making it ideal for tracking on offset guitars, superstrats, or other instruments where traditional humbucker sizing limits studio flexibility.
Tone & Output Character
Ceramic magnets provide a bright, punchy character with pronounced midrange and cutting treble response that cuts through dense mixes and delivers crisp articulation across the fretboard during recording and playback. The 13.35 kΩ DC resistance confirms this pickup's high-output nature, generating substantial signal with dynamic clarity that responds exceptionally well to overdrive and distortion in the DAW and on tape.
Installation & Wiring
The pickup features a distinctive combination of slotted and Allen head screw pole pieces, allowing fine-tuned height adjustment for optimal balance between strings and consistency across tracking sessions. A four-conductor hookup cable is included, enabling series, parallel, or split-coil wiring configurations to suit your instrument's control layout and desired tonal range for different session approaches.
