Seymour Duncan Ryan Fluff Bruce FLF TB (matte black) Pickup

Seymour Duncan Ryan "Fluff" Bruce FLF TB (Matte Black) Pickup

The Ryan "Fluff" Bruce FLF TB is a high-output trembucker designed to cut through dense mixes with articulate, aggressive response while maintaining clarity and warmth across the frequency spectrum. This signature model merges the punch of the JB Model coil with the extended frequency response of the Black Winter humbucker, creating a hybrid character that captures definition and sustain without muddiness. The matte black finish and black nickel hardware blend seamlessly into any recording setup's aesthetic.

Tone & Recording Response

Built on an Alnico 4 bar magnet with a 16.6 DCR, this pickup tracks articulation with prominent midrange presence—essential for sitting tight in hard rock and metal productions. The hybrid coil configuration delivers the harmonic complexity and aggression needed to maintain note definition through high-gain amp chains and dense layered arrangements, making it equally effective for direct recording and live amplifier capture.

Studio Flexibility & Installation

The trembucker spacing accommodates modern 7-string and wide-spaced 6-string instruments, while short mounting legs ensure secure, level installation across various bridge designs. The 4-conductor cable unlocks series/parallel and split wiring options, enabling tonal shaping within your session without swapping gear—crucial for maximizing studio time and exploring arrangements.
