Description
Seymour Duncan Psyclone Hot, Gold Cover, SET Pickup
The Psyclone Hot captures aggressive output with a balanced hum-cancelling design that cuts through dense mixes without sacrificing articulation or note definition. This set pairs a lower-output neck pickup with a hotter bridge pickup, giving your recordings responsive dynamics across the fretboard while maintaining clarity in high-gain tracking sessions. The distinctive gold cover adds visual character while the handmade construction ensures consistent performance across takes.
Tone & Output for Recording
With an output DCR of 12.29 and Alnico 5 magnets, these pickups deliver punchy midrange and defined highs that sit well in hard rock and metal mixes. The hum-cancelling design eliminates 60-cycle noise without requiring dual-coil construction, maintaining the single-coil responsiveness and attack that translates clearly to tape and digital recording.
Construction & Signal Integrity
Both direct-mount and pickup-ring mounting options provide flexibility for various guitar platforms in your studio setup. The 1C shielded cable and single-conductor lead wire ensure clean signal transfer with minimal interference at the preamp, while handmade construction in Santa Barbara, CA guarantees attention to detail in every set for consistent session-to-session performance.
