Seymour Duncan Overture Pickup

Seymour Duncan Overture Acoustic Guitar Pickup

The Seymour Duncan Overture is a discreet, lightweight acoustic pickup system engineered for studio and live recording applications where transparent amplification is essential. Its minimal profile mounts cleanly to the guitar's top, making it an ideal choice for tracking and mixing sessions where you need to capture your instrument's natural character without adding coloration or unwanted artifacts to your recordings.

Design & Installation

This system features a very small and light sensing element mounted directly to the guitar's top, paired with a compact preamp module only slightly larger than a 9-volt battery. The minimal footprint allows for clean integration into virtually any acoustic setup without interfering with playability or appearance, and the streamlined design keeps your signal path uncluttered during multitrack sessions.

Recording & Tonal Response

Built on a ceramic accelerometer with custom preamp circuitry, the Overture delivers amplification with exceptional clarity and minimal coloration of your instrument's natural tone. The very wide frequency response captures the full spectrum of acoustic resonance, from deep lows to articulate highs, ensuring a faithful representation of your guitar's voice through your interface, mixing console, or amplification chain without masking the nuances that make your recordings shine.
