Description
Seymour Duncan APH-1n Alnico II Pro Humbucker RevZebra Pickup
The APH-1n is engineered to deliver a balanced, articulate voice that sits cleanly in the neck position without cluttering your mix. Built on Seymour Duncan's Alnico II Pro platform, this hand-wound pickup combines classic warmth with controlled output, making it an excellent choice for recording sessions spanning jazz, blues, and classic rock. The RevZebra coil configuration provides the tonal complexity and detail capture that professional tracking demands.
Tone & Magnetics
The Alnico 2 bar magnet core produces a naturally warm, open tone with excellent note definition and responsive dynamics. This magnet type is prized for its musical compression and organic breakup characteristics, delivering moderate output that preserves string articulation and playing dynamics—critical for maintaining clarity and definition in multitrack recordings.
Design & Build
Hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA, each pickup is wax potted for squeal-free operation and long-term reliability in the studio. The nickel silver bottom plate and four-conductor lead wire provide both construction durability and flexible wiring options, allowing you to configure the coils for series, parallel, or split configurations to tailor your tone during recording or quickly adapt to different session requirements.
