Frequently Asked Questions

Will this pickup work in any guitar?

This is a soapbar-format P-90, so it fits only guitars with soapbar-routed pickup cavities—common in some semi-hollow and solid-body designs. Check your guitar's existing pickup cavity shape before ordering.

Is this pickup good for metal or high-gain styles?

No. The Antiquity P-90 is voiced for blues, rock, jazz, indie, and folk—warm vintage character with organic midrange. It's not designed for metal, djent, or thrash metal applications.

How does the Antiquity Soapbar compare to other P-90s?

Seymour Duncan's Antiquity line is a budget-conscious alternative to Gibson P-90s, Lindy Fralin P-90s, and Lollar Imperials. It delivers similar warm, vintage character and balanced output at a lower price point, making it a great entry point for players exploring P-90 tone.

What tone should I expect from this bridge pickup?

Expect warm vintage character with organic midrange, slight compression, balanced output, and articulate cleans. It's responsive across the dynamic range and sits naturally in rock, blues, and indie mixes.
