Schecter Tori Ruffin Signature Guitars

For tracking funk, R&B, and soul parts, a single-coil guitar is a go-to tool, and the Tori Ruffin Freak Juice Traditional from Schecter delivers that voice. Ruffin's work with Freak Juice and Morris Day and The Time shapes the design, and the Traditional body in Juice Burst gives home-studio players a distinctive instrument for rhythm and lead.

Single-coil pickups tend to sit cleanly in a dense mix, leaving room for bass, keys, and vocals while still offering bite for chops and accents. That makes this a useful session guitar for producers building grooves layer by layer, whether the part is a tight rhythm figure or a melodic fill.

A left-handed Freak Juice Traditional means left-handed engineers and players can record with the same signature instrument. The lineup spans about $1,299 to $1,349, and Studio Gears carries it for anyone adding a character guitar to the recording rig.
