. Description
Sound & Tone
Two high-output ceramic humbuckers push a tight, aggressive voice with plenty of upper-midrange bite, while the mahogany body and quilted maple top keep low notes weighted and the attack defined under heavy gain. The 25.5" scale and ebony fingerboard add snap and clarity to fast runs and palm-muted riffing, and the Floyd Rose Special with locking nut holds pitch through dive bombs and hard vibrato work. Push/pull coil splitting thins things out for cleaner arpeggios and rhythm parts, but the core character is built for metal and modern rock lead and rhythm playing.
Schecter Synyster Standard Plus Guitar in Transparent Deep Red
The Schecter Synyster Standard Plus is engineered for studio tracking and live recording scenarios where speed and precision matter. Its Ultra Thin C neck profile and forearm contour minimize fatigue during marathon session work, while the mahogany body with quilted maple top in Transparent Deep Red delivers focused, articulate resonance ideal for layering heavy parts. Built to handle high-gain processing and aggressive playing techniques, this instrument tracks cleanly through dense mixes and modern rock/metal productions.
Build & Playability
The bolt-on three-piece mahogany neck with carbon fiber rod reinforcement ensures consistent tuning across long sessions and provides tonal clarity in recordings. The Ultra Thin C profile at 19mm (1st fret) and 20mm (12th fret) facilitates rapid tracking of complex passages without hand fatigue, while the 25.5" scale length and ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets support wide tuning ranges and clean articulation. The 16-inch radius balances comfort during precision work with the control needed for studio-quality takes.
Tone & Recording Performance
Two ceramic humbucking pickups with eight magnets and high-output wind capture aggressive, defined tones that cut through dense arrangements and heavy processing chains. Push/pull coil split functionality on the master tone control lets you dial between punchy articulation and fuller saturation without re-amping, streamlining session workflow. The Floyd Rose Special tremolo with Hot Rod Locking system and Floyd Rose locking nut maintain tuning stability across multiple takes, backed by Grover tuners and black hardware throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this guitar suitable for beginners?
No—the Synyster Standard Plus is designed for intermediate, advanced, and professional players. The Ultra Thin C neck, 24 jumbo frets, Floyd Rose tremolo, and high-output pickups are engineered for technical metal and progressive play; beginners are better served by simpler, more forgiving designs.
What genres is this guitar best for?
Metal, hard rock, djent, and progressive are the primary applications. The high-output ceramic humbuckers and push/pull coil split deliver aggressive, gain-focused tones optimized for distortion-heavy work; it is not recommended for jazz, blues, or folk.
How does the coil split work?
The push/pull coil split is located on the master tone control and transforms the high-output humbuckers from thick dual-coil aggression to single-coil snap, expanding your tonal range across modern rock and metal applications within a single song or session.
Will the Floyd Rose tremolo stay in tune during heavy use?
Yes—the Floyd Rose Special tremolo is paired with the Hot Rod Locking system and Floyd Rose locking nut, plus a carbon fiber-reinforced three-piece mahogany neck that resists neck dive, keeping intonation stable during divebombs, extended bends, and aggressive playing.
What is included with this guitar?
The instrument ships fully assembled with Grover tuners, black hardware throughout, and an ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and Gothic Cross position markers. No amplifier or additional cables are included.
