. Description
Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and three-piece mahogany neck lend weight and warmth to the low end, while the ebony fretboard and 25.5" scale tighten up the attack and keep note definition crisp under high gain. The Schecter Diamond Synyster Gates Signature humbuckers push an aggressive, articulate voice at the bridge and a fuller neck tone, with a push-pull tone control and 3-way switch for further shaping. With 24 X-Jumbo frets on a 16" radius and a Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo, it's aimed squarely at metal, hard rock, and progressive playing where fast lead runs, wide bends, and dive bombs are part of the vocabulary.
Schecter Synyster Standard Electric Guitar Gloss Black Silver Pinstripes
The Schecter Synyster Standard captures articulate, aggressive tones with its Schecter Diamond Synyster Gates Signature Humbuckers and Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' Locking Tremolo, making it a powerful tracking tool for metal, progressive rock, and hard rock productions. The ultra-thin 'C' neck profile and fast ebony fretboard enable precise lead recordings and intricate overdubs without finger fatigue across long sessions. Balanced weight and comfortable body contours support extended tracking runs, while the tight locking tremolo maintains pitch stability through expressive effects and pitch dives—critical for keeping takes usable and minimizing tuning drift between takes.
Playability & Recording Performance
The three-piece mahogany neck with carbon fiber reinforcement rods measures .748" at the first fret and .787" at the 12th fret, providing structural integrity that translates to consistent intonation when tracking. Twenty-four X-Jumbo frets on a 16" radius ebony fretboard support both aggressive bending articulation and precision work, essential for capturing clean takes in the studio. The 25.5" scale length and 1.625" nut width deliver a professional setup that encourages tight, controlled performances ideal for layered guitar parts and demanding arrangements.
Tone & Electronics
Dual Schecter Diamond Synyster Gates Signature Humbuckers deliver potent clarity and aggression with dynamic responsiveness across all registers, cutting through dense mixes and maintaining definition on both rhythm and lead recordings. The push-pull tone control and 3-way switch enable quick tonal adjustments between takes without re-patching cables, while the Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' Locking Tremolo (a Schecter exclusive) maintains stable tuning through dramatic pitch manipulation and dive-bomb effects—preserving usable takes and reducing re-recording time.
