Description
Sound & Tone
The Sunset-7 Triad's 27" scale keeps the low seventh string tight and articulate, so downtuned riffs stay focused rather than flubby, making it a natural fit for modern metal and other extended-range styles. A Schecter USA Tripocalypse triple-coil in the bridge and an Apocalypse single-coil in the neck, run through a 5-way switch, cover ground from clear, articulate cleans to aggressive overdriven tones. The nyatoh body, ebony fretboard and Diamond Hardtail Plus bridge add solid sustain and tuning stability for precise, consistent performance across all seven strings.
Schecter Sunset-7 Triad 7-String Electric Guitar in Gloss Black
The Sunset-7 Triad is engineered for studio tracking and session work with an ultra-thin C neck profile and ultra access bolt-on design that minimizes fatigue during long recording sessions. The extended 27" scale length captures tight, articulate low-end response essential for extended-range tunings and modern production work, ensuring clean separation in dense mixes. This instrument is purpose-built for engineers and producers who prioritize capture clarity and consistent performance across multiple takes.
Recording Playability & Neck Performance
The multi-ply maple and rosewood neck is reinforced with dual carbon fiber rods for exceptional stability and minimal neck dive—critical for session consistency. With 24 extra jumbo stainless steel frets across a 16" radius ebony fretboard, tracking yields smooth, predictable intonation and articulation, while the Graph Tech Black Tusq XL nut (42mm x 6mm) ensures reliable string seating and repeatable tracking tone. The offset reverse aluminum circle inlays provide subtle visual markers without bulk.
Tone Shaping & Studio Versatility
The pairing of a Schecter USA Tripocalypse triple-coil bridge pickup with a Schecter USA Apocalypse single-coil neck pickup delivers session versatility—capturing articulate, defined cleans that sit forward in a mix to aggressive, focused overdriven tones for layered production. The 5-way switch and independent volume/tone controls enable rapid tonal adjustment between takes without repositioning microphones, while the Schecter Diamond Hardtail Plus bridge maintains rock-solid tuning stability and sustain consistency across recording runs.
