Description
Sound & Tone
The black limba body with ziricote top and bolt-on wenge neck lends a tight, articulate response with firm low end and clear note separation, while the 25.5" scale and hardtail bridge add snap, sustain, and stable pitch under heavy picking. The Schecter USA Sunset Strip bridge pickup pushes aggressive, cutting high-gain leads and rhythm work, and the Pasadena neck unit offers a rounder voice for legato runs and cleaner passages, with the 5-way selector opening up thinner, more scooped in-between sounds. Ebony fretboard and stainless steel frets keep the attack bright and precise, making it a natural fit for modern metal, progressive rock, and technical shred playing.
Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder Exotic Ziricote Guitar
This Sun Valley Super Shredder captures articulate, responsive tracking in the studio thanks to its thin 'C' neck profile and 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets across a 25.5" scale. The exotic ziricote top Built in South Korea with full Schecter warranty coverage, this instrument arrives setup-ready and unplayed for immediate tracking sessions.
Recording & Neck Stability
The wenge neck with carbon fiber reinforcement rods ensures consistent intonation and sustain across overdub takes, while the 12"-16" compound radius ebony fretboard combined with X-Jumbo frets accommodates both percussive picking dynamics and smooth legato passages in the mix. The thin profile and .787"-.866" neck thickness taper enable clear upper-register definition during lead and rhythm layering.
Tone & Signal Path
Dual Schecter USA pickups—the Sunset Strip bridge and Pasadena neck—provide flexible tonal palette options through a 5-way selector with master volume and tone controls for immediate mix integration. The Hipshot Ibby HM hardtail bridge with black and chrome hardware eliminates tremolo drift, ensuring pitch stability across multiple takes, and Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners maintain precise mechanical accuracy between punch-ins.

What skill level is this guitar designed for?
The Sun Valley Super Shredder Exotic is engineered for intermediate, advanced, and professional players. Its thin 'C' neck profile, 24 X-Jumbo frets, and compound radius (12–16 inches) support fast legato work and aggressive upper-register technique, while the carbon-fiber reinforced wenge neck ensures tuning stability during extended technical sessions.
What genres and tunings is this guitar best suited for?
This guitar excels in metal, progressive, hard rock, and drop-tuning applications. The high-output dual Schecter USA pickups, tight low end, and rock-solid hardtail bridge make it ideal for heavy riffs and extended-range work, though it is not optimized for jazz, blues, or folk styles.
How does the hardware and bridge affect tuning stability?
The guitar features a Hipshot Ibby HM hardtail bridge that eliminates tremolo-related tuning issues, paired with Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners for precise mechanical accuracy. The carbon-fiber reinforced wenge neck resists warping, ensuring the tuning platform remains stable across long playing sessions and demanding technical work.
What pickups are included and what tonal range do they provide?
The guitar ships with dual Schecter USA pickups: a Sunset Strip bridge model and Pasadena neck model, controlled via a 5-way selector with master volume and tone controls. Together they deliver articulate highs, punchy mids, and a versatile tonal range suitable for both clean articulation and high-gain applications.
