Description
Sound & Tone
The ziricote top over black limba gives this Sun Valley Super Shredder a punchy, articulate voice with natural brightness and long sustain, and the 25.5" scale on a wenge neck and ebony fretboard tightens up the attack for high-gain work. The Schecter USA Sunset Strip bridge pickup handles aggressive lead and rhythm tones while the Pasadena neck pickup offers warmer, more textured voices, with a 5-way switch covering the ground in between. Paired with the Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo and 24-fret double-cutaway access, it sits squarely in modern metal, progressive rock, and technical shred territory.
Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder FR Guitar Exotic Ziricote
The Sun Valley Super Shredder FR captures articulate, punchy high-gain tones through its ziricote top over black limba construction, which delivers natural brightness and excellent sustain that cuts cleanly through dense mixes while maintaining warmth across the dynamic range. The responsive Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo system pairs with a fast thin 'C' neck profile to enable precise pitch control and expressive playing across modern metal, progressive rock, and demanding studio sessions. The double-cutaway design provides unrestricted upper-fret access, making this instrument ideal for tracking complex arrangements and layered guitar parts.
Playability & Feel
The wenge neck with carbon fiber reinforcement rods and 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets on a 12"-16" compound radius ebony fretboard create a fast, consistent playing surface that maintains intonation precision across speed work and chord voicings during extended recording sessions. Neck thickness measures .787" at the 1st fret and .866" at the 12th fret, supporting the thin 'C' profile that minimizes hand fatigue during overdubs and multiple takes. The Floyd Rose 1500 Series nut, Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners, and 2-way adjustable truss rod with heel access enable stable tuning retention and straightforward setup adjustments between sessions.
Tone & Electronics
The Schecter USA Sunset Strip bridge pickup and Schecter USA Pasadena neck pickup pairing delivers aggressive lead tones and warmer, textured rhythm voices across the 5-way switch, offering session versatility without switching complexity. A single volume and tone control streamline mixing workflow, allowing the pickups' character and the ziricote body's natural resonance to define the instrument's voice, making it straightforward to dial in a consistent recorded tone across multiple takes.
