Description
Sound & Tone
Black limba's bright, punchy resonance combines with a wenge neck and ebony fretboard for an articulate, tightly focused voice that stays defined under heavy gain. The Schecter USA Sunset Strip bridge pickup brings aggressive clarity for riffing and lead work, while the Pasadena in the neck offers a more articulate midrange, and the 5-way switch opens up additional voicings for cleaner passages. With a 25.5" scale, compound-radius board, and Floyd Rose 1500 bridge, it's aimed squarely at modern metal, hard rock, and technical lead playing where dive-bomb vibrato and note separation matter.
Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder FR Guitar Black Limba B-Stock 0453
This unplayed Sun Valley Super Shredder FR brings tight, articulate tracking to high-gain recording sessions, with a thin "C" neck profile and 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets that enable precise finger work and clean palm-muting technique. The Black Limba body with flat top contour paired with wenge and carbon fiber reinforcement in the neck creates a resonant, focused platform that translates well to both direct amp simulation and amp mic'd recording. A small clear coat flake on the fretboard at the first fret is the only cosmetic note on an otherwise excellent condition instrument.
Recording Response & Setup
The thin "C" neck shape combined with a 25.5" scale and 12"-16" compound radius fretboard supports rapid session work and complex fingering patterns, while the Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and nut maintain tuning stability across pitch-shifted takes and extended tracking. Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners and the 2-way truss rod with heel access enable quick action adjustments between session layers without disrupting mic placement or re-patching.
Tone & Signal Path
The pairing of Schecter USA Sunset Strip bridge pickup and Schecter USA Pasadena neck pickup delivers aggressive clarity with articulate midrange definition, while the volume/tone/5-way switch controls and vintage knobs provide real-time tonal shaping across multiple recording passes. Black Limba wood produces bright, punchy resonance that sits forward in dense arrangements and maintains clarity through heavy compression.
