Sound & Tone
The fretless rosewood board and 34" scale give this bass a smooth, vocal attack with the sliding, singing sustain that neck-through mahogany-and-bubinga construction reinforces. Dual EMG 35HZ pickups running through 18-volt active 3-band EQ push a punchy, articulate voice with enough headroom and midrange control to sit clearly in a dense mix, whether you're dialing in a warm, round fingerstyle tone or a brighter, more present growl. It suits jazz, fusion, R&B and progressive players who want expressive vibrato and glissando alongside precise EQ shaping.
Schecter Stiletto Studio-4 FL Electric Bass — Honey Satin
The Stiletto Studio-4 FL combines a thin 'C' neck profile with a fretless rosewood fingerboard that captures every articulation and slides with fluid responsiveness in the recording environment. Neck-through construction with Ultra Access delivers ergonomic comfort across extended tracking sessions, while the Honey Satin finish provides both visual refinement and a playing surface that sits naturally under the hand without unwanted friction. This is a serious fretless instrument engineered to cut through dense mixes while delivering the tonal nuance that separates professional recordings from the rest.
Playability & Construction
The maple/walnut multi-ply neck maintains rock-solid stability during long sessions with a 2-way adjustable truss rod, while the thin 'C' profile (0.787" at the first fret, 0.866" at the 12th) sits naturally in your hand for precision work over hours of tracking. Neck-through construction with mahogany body and bubinga top maximizes resonance and sustain—crucial for fretless tone that breathes in the mix—while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (1.496" width) ensures clean string response and tuning stability across take after take.
Tone & Electronics
Dual EMG 35HZ pickups paired with active 3-band tone circuitry and an 18-volt battery compartment deliver punchy, articulate tone with full EQ shaping for any session requirement. The fretless setup with these hot pickups captures every ghost note and dynamic inflection while maintaining the clarity and presence needed to anchor bass lines in complex arrangements.
