For recording, extended-range guitars open up parts that a standard six-string can't reach. Studio Gears carries the Schecter Rob Scallon signature series, a trio of models: the C-1, C-7 Multiscale and C-8 Multiscale, currently in Satin Dark Roast. They give producers and home-studio players a way to add low-end weight and wider range straight from the guitar.

The C-7 and C-8 use fanned frets, meaning a longer scale on the low strings and a shorter one on the highs. In a session, the practical benefit is that low notes can stay defined and tight, which helps when tracking heavy riffs or layering tuned-down parts that need to sit clearly in a mix without turning muddy.

Each model fits a different workflow. The C-1 is a familiar 6-string for tracking standard parts with the signature look, the C-7 adds a low string for deeper rhythm work, and the C-8 pushes range further for arranging and layered composition. The lineup spans roughly $1,299 to $1,599, and the grid below shows current availability.
