Description
Sound & Tone
The 25.5"–27" multiscale layout keeps the low strings tight and defined rather than flubby, while the mahogany body with poplar burl top and bolt-on maple neck lend sustain with a clear, focused attack. Twin Schecter Diamond Heretic humbuckers push an aggressive, high-output voice that holds note separation under heavy gain, with the neck position available for warmer lead and clean passages via the 5-way switch. It sits naturally in modern metal, progressive rock, and djent, where chugging low-string riffs and articulate extended-range chord voicings need to stay legible in a dense mix.
Schecter Omen Elite-8 Multiscale Guitar in Charcoal
The fanned frets of this Omen Elite-8 Multiscale conform naturally to your hand's anatomy, delivering ergonomic comfort and fast playability across all eight strings with consistent intonation from the lowest fundamental to the highest extension. The tight, articulate voicing cuts through dense mixes with percussive clarity and controlled aggression—essential characteristics for modern metal, progressive rock, and djent productions where tonal definition and sustain demand precision. Balanced weight and a responsive neck make extended recording and overdub sessions effortless, whether exploring complex extended-range chord voicings or executing demanding single-note passages.
Playability & Construction
The maple neck features a thin "C" profile (0.787" at the 1st fret, 0.866" at the 12th) paired with a rosewood fretboard and 24 jumbo frets on a 20" radius—geometry optimized for speed and articulation across the extended range. Bolt-on construction with a mahogany body and poplar burl top ensures reliable sustain and tonal clarity in tracking sessions, while the multiscale design spanning 25.5" to 27" accommodates proper string tension and intonation across all eight strings.
Tone & Electronics
Two Schecter Diamond Heretic humbuckers—one in the bridge position and one in the neck—deliver the aggressive, defined output required for high-gain tracking without losing articulation or note separation in the mix. Simple, effective controls (volume, tone, and 5-way lever switch) keep the signal path direct and responsive to playing dynamics, while black hardware and a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut contribute to focused tonal character and consistent tuning stability across multiple takes.

Open-box means this unit was unboxed, inspected, and set up by our techs; it is otherwise new and unplayed and ships in original packaging with all factory accessories. It's covered by our 30-day money-back return policy.
Is the Omen Elite-8 suitable for jazz or blues?
No. This guitar is optimized for metal, progressive, djent, and extended-range studio work where high-gain articulation and note separation are priorities. The aggressive pickup voicing and tight low-end character are not well-suited to jazz or blues playing.
What skill level do I need to play an eight-string multiscale?
The Omen Elite-8 is designed for intermediate, advanced, and professional players. The multiscale fret layout and extended range require familiarity with eight-string technique and high-gain playing styles.
How does the multiscale design work and why does it matter?
The fanned fret design spans 25.5" to 27" scale length, ensuring proper string tension and intonation across all eight strings. This geometry optimizes playability and tonal balance without compromise across the extended range.
What pickups are included and how do they perform?
Two Schecter Diamond Heretic humbuckers deliver aggressive, controlled output designed specifically for high-gain contexts while maintaining articulation and note separation. The signal path is direct and responsive, routed through volume, tone, and a 5-way lever switch.
