Description
Sound & Tone
Three Schecter Diamond 351 single-coils give the MV-6 a bright, articulate voice with the snap and quack of classic in-between positions, while the basswood body keeps the midrange even and the note attack focused rather than harsh. The 25.5" scale adds string tension and clarity for tight rhythm work and chiming clean tones, and the modified 5-way HS switching pulls in thicker, more saturated sounds when you push into overdrive. With 24 X-Jumbo frets, a 14" radius and a 2-point tremolo, it handles funk and pop-rock cleans as readily as fusion legato runs and higher-gain lead playing.
Schecter MV-6 Electric Guitar in Metallic Purple
The Schecter MV-6 combines a contoured basswood body with a fast, responsive wenge neck that enables extended tracking and layering sessions without player fatigue. This solidbody electric delivers a striking metallic purple finish alongside professional-grade construction throughout, designed to capture consistent, articulate performances across multiple genres and recording scenarios.
Playability & Neck Design
The thin "C"-shaped wenge neck with ebony fingerboard and 25.5" scale length provides a familiar, comfortable platform for extended range playing and detailed tracking work. 24 X-Jumbo frets and a 14" fretboard radius support both smooth legato lines and aggressive bending with clear definition in the mix, while Schecter locking tuners and a 2-way adjustable truss rod with heel access ensure tuning stability across long sessions and long-term adjustability.
Recording Versatility & Tone
Three Schecter Diamond 351 single-coil pickups paired with a modified 5-way HS pickup system deliver adaptable tonal range from clean articulation to driven saturation, allowing quick switching between textures during overdubs or performance takes. The Volume/Tone/5-Way SuperSwitch control layout provides intuitive access to the full palette for real-time adjustments, while the 2-point tremolo with stainless steel saddles maintains pitch stability during extended takes and moderate vibrato work.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the MV-6 neck comfortable for long playing sessions?
The thin "C"-shaped wenge neck with ebony fingerboard and contoured basswood body are designed to minimize hand fatigue during extended play. The 25.5" scale length and 14" fretboard radius support both smooth legato lines and aggressive bending, while heel-access truss rod adjustment keeps the neck dialed in.
How does this compare to a Stratocaster or Ibanez RG?
The MV-6 shares the familiar 25.5" scale and single-coil character of a Strat but offers a faster, thinner neck profile closer to the Ibanez RG. Its three Schecter Diamond 351 pickups with modified 5-way HS switching provide a wider tonal range than standard Strat configurations, making it especially suited to rock and metal applications.
What genres is this guitar best suited for?
The MV-6 excels in rock, metal, hard rock, indie, and studio sessions where articulate cleans and driven saturation are essential. It is not recommended for jazz, blues, or folk styles, where single-coil characteristics and tremolo systems may limit tonal depth and expression.
What hardware and electronics are included?
The MV-6 features three Schecter Diamond 351 single-coil pickups, a modified 5-way HS pickup system, Schecter locking tuners, a 2-point tremolo with stainless steel saddles, chrome hardware throughout, and a Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut (1.65" width). All controls are intuitive: Volume, Tone, and 5-Way SuperSwitch.
Is the Metallic Purple finish durable for gigging?
Yes—the striking metallic purple finish is applied to a solidbody with bolt-on construction and professional-grade hardware, all designed to withstand the rigors of road and studio use. The flat-top contour and ultra-access design for upper fret reach also support reliable performance night after night.
