Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and set neck with quilted maple top give this Schecter a thick midrange foundation with added top-end definition, while the ebony fretboard and 25.5" scale keep fast riffing tight and articulate. The USA Apocalypse-VI bridge pickup pushes aggressive, cutting high-end bite suited to modern metal rhythm work and lead playing, and the Sustainiac neck unit adds infinite sustain with selectable fundamental, mix, or harmonic modes for feedback-style leads and ambient textures. With a Floyd Rose 1500 bridge and locking nut, it also handles dive bombs and pitch manipulation for players who lean on the whammy bar.
Schecter E-1 FR S SE Guitar Green Burst
The E-1 FR S Special Edition captures articulate, high-definition tones in the studio with its thin "C" neck profile and expertly contoured body designed for extended tracking sessions. The set-neck construction with Ultra Access facilitates seamless upper-fret navigation during overdubs and lead recording, while the quilted maple top in trans green burst delivers striking visual appeal. This instrument excels in the mix with advanced features like onboard sustainiac technology and Floyd Rose bridge control for nuanced pitch manipulation and harmonic layering.
Playability & Build Quality
The mahogany 3-piece neck with carbon fiber reinforcement rods ensures consistent intonation and tuning stability across extended studio sessions on the 25.5" scale. The thin "C" shape measures .787" at the 1st fret and .866" at the 12th fret, balancing comfort with rapid finger movement during complex arrangements. 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets on an ebony fretboard with 12"-16" compound radius maintain precise tracking and minimal fret noise in recording, while mother of pearl block inlays and luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dot markers support accurate positioning during low-light tracking sessions.
Tone & Recording Character
The Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ bridge pickup paired with the Sustainiac® neck pickup produces articulate definition with aggressive high-end clarity ideal for cutting through dense mixes, while the sustainiac delivers sustained harmonic control for texture and effects processing. Complete command over your recorded tone comes via dedicated controls for volume, tone, intensity, a 3-way pickup switch, a 2-way on-off sustainiac switch, and a 3-way sustainiac mode switch (fundamental-mix-harmonic), all powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment for reliable sustainiac operation during long sessions.
