Sound & Tone
The mahogany body with quilted maple top and neck-thru maple/walnut construction gives this five-string a thick, sustaining low end with clear note separation, while the 35" scale keeps the low B tight and articulate rather than flubby. Dual Fishman Fluence soapbars running at 18 volts, paired with a blend control, 3-band EQ and a three-way voicing switch, cover vintage-leaning warmth, scooped and snappy funk tones, and a modern high-output aggression, with a push-pull single-coil option for thinner, more focused attack. It suits metal and hard rock players who need clarity under high gain, but the voicing options and ebony-board brightness also handle slap, fingerstyle funk, and studio work.
Schecter Daniel Firth Hellraiser Extreme-5 Signature Bass – Cthulhu Burst Satin
This Daniel Firth signature 5-string captures the aggressive, articulate character essential for modern metal and extended-range tracking. The neck-thru construction with Ultra Access ensures smooth upper-fret navigation for complex bass arrangements, while the 35" scale and carbon-fiber reinforced maple/walnut neck provide the tension and stability needed for down-tuned, heavy sessions. The satin finish resists fingerprints and offers tactile grip for consistent control during long recording takes.
Build & Tonal Foundation
Mahogany body with quilted maple arched top and ebony fretboard create a tonally focused platform for tight, punchy recordings, while black chrome hardware maintains visual cohesion throughout. The Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and Grover Bass 144 Series tuners ensure reliable tuning stability across tracking sessions, and the Schecter Custom Bass String Thru bridge offers flexible stringing options for different tuning approaches. 24 X-Jumbo frets with mother-of-pearl block inlays and a 16" fretboard radius balance precision fretting with comfortable playability across the extended range, enabling confident performances of complex material.
Recording Electronics & Shaping
Dual Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups deliver modern clarity with three distinct voicing modes—Classic, Funk, and Modern—selectable via toggle switch for rapid tonal pivots between takes. The master volume with push-pull single-coil option, blend control, and 2-band EQ provide comprehensive shaping for everything from tight, focused lows to punchy mid-range definition, while the 9-volt battery compartment maintains consistent output throughout the session.
