Description
Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and bolt-on maple neck give the Damien-8 a firm, focused midrange, while the 25.5" to 27.5" multiscale layout keeps the low strings tight and clearly pitched instead of loose and muddy. Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups at the bridge and neck push an aggressive, high-output voice with enough treble definition to keep fast riffing and chordal work legible across all eight strings, and the push-pull volume/tone plus 3-way switch let you pull back to cleaner, rounder neck-position sounds. With its fixed Hipshot bridge and X-Jumbo frets on a flat 20" radius, it leans toward metal, djent and progressive playing where low-tuned rhythm accuracy and clean lead articulation both matter.
Schecter Damien-8 Multiscale Electric Guitar
The Damien-8 Multiscale is engineered for capturing tight, articulate eight-string performances in the studio and translating them to a mix with clarity and punch. This professional-grade instrument balances extended-range capability with genuine ergonomic comfort, enabling precise tracking across aggressive material, progressive voicings, and modern production styles. The multiscale fretboard architecture delivers consistent intonation and sustain from the lowest frequencies to the highest, while carbon-reinforced construction ensures neck stability through demanding session work—all at a fraction of original retail.
Playability & Neck Design
The multiscale architecture spans 25.5" to 27.5" across eight strings, eliminating the tension and intonation compromises of traditional extended-range designs. A thin 'C' profile maple neck with carbon fiber reinforcement and 24 X-Jumbo frets on a 20" radius rosewood fretboard creates an instrument that feels fast and responsive during tracking, while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and 2-way adjustable truss rod provide long-term stability and precise setup options for consistent recording sessions.
Tone & Recording Character
Paired Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups in both bridge and neck positions deliver the aggression and clarity essential for eight-string recording applications, with a Volume/Tone push-pull control and 3-way switch providing tonal flexibility for shaping your session sound. The Hipshot 8-String Multiscale Fixed Bridge and black hardware throughout ensure tuning stability during extended takes and maintain articulate sustain for layered production work.
