For recording, the Schecter Corsair brings a semi-hollow, double-cutaway voice with vintage flavor, plus a Bigsby-style vibrato for movement and shimmer on the track. It is a useful color for producers who want period-correct character from a guitar built with modern Schecter consistency.

The range gives a home studio several textures. The standard Corsair guitar suits rhythm and lead parts, the Corsair-12 Wayne Hussey model adds twelve-string width for layered arrangements, and the Corsair bass, including the Simon Gallup signature, covers low-end parts with a post-punk pedigree. Finishes vary, and prices run from about $1,149 to $1,499.

Think post-punk, gothic rock, indie and retro-leaning productions where a hollow-bodied tone sits distinctively in a mix. Studio Gears lists current availability in the grid below.
