Description
Sound & Tone
The mahogany body with arched top gives a thick midrange and long sustain, reinforced by the string-through TonePros Tune-O-Matic bridge, while the bolt-on rock maple neck and 25.5" scale add snap and tight low-end definition. The Schecter Hellfire humbuckers push a hot, aggressive voice at the bridge for rhythm chugs and lead work, with the neck position offering a fuller, rounder tone through the simple volume, tone and 3-way layout. With 24 jumbo frets, a flat 14" radius and a thin "C" neck, it leans toward hard rock and metal playing, from palm-muted riffing to fast upper-register soloing.
Schecter C-1 Hydro-dip Guitar in Purple Obsidian B-Stock 0572
The C-1 Hydro-dip is built to track and perform reliably in the studio, combining responsive playability with solid construction and a striking hand-applied finish. Each guitar's unique Purple Obsidian metallic hydro-dip pattern ensures visual character in your session workspace, while the bolt-on rock maple neck with Thin "C" profile and Richlite fingerboard deliver a fast, stable playing surface that maintains accuracy through overdubs and extended recording takes.
Playability & Recording Comfort
The Thin "C" profile neck (20 mm at the 1st fret, 22 mm at the 12th) pairs with a 25.5" scale and 14" radius Richlite fingerboard to enable smooth, repeatable articulation for layering parts and executing precise lead recordings. 24 jumbo frets with metal offset ring inlays and a 2-way adjustable truss rod maintain consistent action and long-term neck stability essential for session work, while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (42 mm) ensures reliable intonation and clear note definition across the entire fingerboard for clean, punchy recordings.
Tone & Tracking Versatility
A pair of Schecter Radio Active pickups—one in the neck, one in the bridge—capture warm, articulate tones with natural sustain and rejection of unwanted feedback, making them equally effective for rhythm layers and lead sits. The mahogany body with carved top reinforces midrange clarity and resonance that translates well to mix, while master volume, master tone, and 3-way toggle controls allow quick tonal adjustment between takes; a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring and satin black hardware keep intonation stable through multiple recording passes.
