Description
Sound & Tone
The active EMG 81 in the bridge brings tight, high-output aggression with cutting highs and a compressed attack that stays articulate under heavy gain, while the EMG 60 in the neck offers a thicker, focused voice for leads and cleaner passages. Mahogany with a flamed maple top and set-neck construction add sustain and harmonic clarity, and the 25.5" scale keeps low notes firm and defined. With an ebony fretboard, 24 X-Jumbo frets and a Floyd Rose Special tremolo, it's aimed squarely at metal, hard rock and technical lead playing where dive bombs and fast runs are part of the vocabulary.
Schecter Banshee GT FR Electric Guitar Satin Trans Blue B-Stock 2202
The Banshee GT FR brings recording-ready articulation and sustain to home studio sessions with its Ultra Thin "U" neck profile and 24 X-Jumbo frets on an ebony fretboard. The Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' locking tremolo maintains pitch stability across takes and overdubs, while the set-neck construction with Ultra Access enables smooth upper-fret articulation for layered guitar parts. B-stock condition with minor cosmetic wear; the instrument is fully functional and ready to play.
Tracking & Performance in the Studio
The 25.5" scale paired with a 14" fretboard radius yields a responsive, balanced platform for precise lead tracking and rhythmic foundation work. Carbon fiber reinforcement rods in the 3-piece maple neck maintain structural integrity across extended recording sessions, while the thin profile (.748" at the 1st fret, .787" at the 12th) supports quick hand transitions and reduces tension fatigue during multiple takes.
Tone & Mix Integration
The EMG 81 bridge pickup and EMG 60 neck pickup pairing captures defined attack and compressed lows with consistent output, controlled via volume/tone 3-way switch configuration for session flexibility. The mahogany body with flamed maple top and set-neck construction yield focused midrange presence and harmonic clarity that cuts through dense mixes without requiring heavy EQ.
