Description
Sound & Tone
The EMG 81 bridge and EMG 60 neck pairing pushes high-output, tightly focused aggression with strong note separation, so palm-muted rhythm figures stay defined and lead lines cut through without turning shrill. Mahogany with a flamed maple top and set-neck construction adds weight and sustain beneath that attack, while the 25.5" scale and ebony fretboard keep low notes taut and the top end crisp. It's aimed squarely at metal, progressive rock, and modern technical playing, with the Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo and locking nut holding pitch through dive bombs and heavy vibrato work.
Schecter Banshee GT FR Electric Guitar Satin Trans Blue B-Stock 1381
The Banshee GT FR is engineered for studio tracking and session work demanding speed and precision, with an ultra-thin neck profile and Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' locking tremolo that maintain tuning stability through complex arrangements and overdub passes. The articulate yet aggressive voice comes from a pair of EMG active pickups (81 bridge, 60 neck) that deliver high-output clarity across all registers, cutting through mixes while retaining definition on layered rhythm parts and lead takes. This is a purpose-built instrument for metal, progressive rock, and modern styles where both sustain and note definition matter equally—critical for productions requiring punchy rhythm tones and soaring, defined lead performances.
Playability & Recording Ready
The ultra-thin 'U'-shaped neck with 3-piece maple construction and carbon fiber reinforcement rods provides both stability and comfort during marathon recording sessions. At just , the mahogany body with flamed maple top reduces fatigue during extended takes while maintaining the resonance and responsiveness needed for consistent, repeatable tones across multiple passes. The 24 X-Jumbo frets on an ebony fretboard with 14" radius enable quick lateral movement and precise intonation across the entire 25.5" scale—essential for capturing clean, in-tune performances with minimal edit work.
Tone & Electronics for Mix Integration
The EMG 81 and EMG 60 pickup pairing delivers articulate, high-output clarity with excellent note separation, ensuring rhythm tracks sit cohesively in dense mixes while lead lines remain defined and punchy. The Floyd Rose Special tremolo with locking nut maintains tuning stability across full sessions, eliminating the need for retuning between takes. The simple volume/tone/3-way switch configuration keeps the signal path direct and responsive to pick dynamics, making it easy to dial in consistent tone during production.
