Description
Sound & Tone
The active EMG 81 in the bridge brings tight, high-output aggression with sharp pick attack, while the EMG 60 at the neck stays clear and focused for lead lines, and the mahogany body with flamed maple top and ebony fretboard adds weight underneath with a crisp, defined top end. The 25.5" scale keeps low notes firm and articulate under high gain, and the Floyd Rose Special tremolo opens up dive bombs and controlled vibrato as part of your vocabulary. Aimed squarely at modern metal, hard rock, and progressive playing, with 24 X-Jumbo frets and set-neck ultra access supporting fast, intricate soloing high on the neck.
Schecter Banshee GT FR Electric Guitar Satin Trans Blue B-Stock
The satin trans blue finish feels silky smooth in hand, and the Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' Locking Tremolo delivers unlimited expressive range for dive bombs, subtle vibrato, and everything in between. Built on a resonant mahogany body with flamed maple top, this guitar captures scorching high-gain tones with crystalline clarity—ideal for tracking modern metal, hard rock, and progressive sessions. The ultra-thin 'U' neck with carbon fiber reinforcement supports intricate lead work during extended recording takes without fatigue, while the set-neck construction with ultra access ensures comfortable upper-fret reach for complex passages.
Playability & Neck Design
The maple 3-piece neck with carbon fiber rods measures .748" at the 1st fret and .787" at the 12th fret, providing a fast, responsive feel without sacrificing stability across multiple takes. Twenty-four X-Jumbo frets on a 14" radius ebony fretboard enable precise bending and articulation during overdubs, while the 25.5" scale balances classic long-scale response with modern playability for both rhythm and lead recording work.
Tone & Electronics
The EMG 81 bridge pickup and EMG 60 neck pickup combination delivers aggressive, articulate tones with exceptional clarity and output for tight tracking and mix-ready recordings. A 9-volt clip-in battery compartment powers the active electronics, while the volume, tone, and 3-way switch give you tonal flexibility from thick rhythm layers to singing lead voices—enabling quick adjustments within the session.
