Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and set-neck construction give this Avenger a thick, sustaining midrange, while the 25.5" scale and ebony fingerboard tighten up the low end and keep note definition crisp under high gain. The active Apocalypse-VI bridge pickup pushes hard for palm-muted rhythm work and cutting leads, and the Sustainiac in the neck position holds notes indefinitely with selectable fundamental, mix, or harmonic modes for feedback-driven melodies and swells. With a Floyd Rose 1500 and stainless steel jumbo frets, it's aimed squarely at modern metal, hard rock, and shred playing where dive-bomb tremolo work and fast legato lines are part of the vocabulary.
Schecter Avenger FR-S Guitar Satin Candy Apple Red B-Stock
The Avenger FR-S is engineered for tracking versatility and studio precision. Its thin "C" neck profile with a compound radius ebony fingerboard maintains playability across extended session work, from open-position layers through the 24th fret. The set-neck with Ultra Access construction delivers the sustain and resonance characteristic of mahogany reinforced by carbon fiber rods—essential for capturing definition and harmonic density in the mix.
Recording Playability & Tracking Feel
The 25.5" scale paired with 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets and a 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard provides a consistent tracking surface for clean articulation and fast session work. Neck thickness measures .787" at the 1st fret and .866" at the 12th fret, supporting both surgical precision and expressive dynamics. Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners and a Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge maintain session tuning stability and controlled tremolo effects with professional-grade hardware reliability.
Tone & Tracking Electronics
The Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ bridge pickup captures articulate rhythm and lead tones that sit decisively in dense mixes, while the Sustainiac neck pickup generates infinite sustain and harmonic feedback through its 3-Way Sustainiac mode switch (Fundamental-Mix-Harmonic). Control comes via Volume/Tone/3-Way pickup switch, 2-Way Sustainiac on-off switch, and a Grip Tip Speed knob, all powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment.
