Tone & Acoustic Character

How does the 22-inch size and weight affect playability?
At 2364 grams, the medium-light weight makes the STRATUS highly responsive to dynamic stick work, balancing control for tight, focused playing with ease for open, expressive crashes. The 22-inch diameter is the standard ride size and works in most drum kit configurations.
How does this cymbal's tone sit in a live or studio mix?
The STRATUS cuts through a mix with its strong, clear bell and articulate definition while maintaining musicality through its warm undertone and controlled wash. Its musical spread across the frequency range ensures it functions as both a steady timekeeper and a dynamic voice without overpowering other instruments.
Is this cymbal comparable to other mid-range rides on the market?
The STRATUS offers similar positioning and sonic versatility to the Zildjian A 22" Ride, Paiste PST 22" Ride, and Meinl Classics Custom 22" Ride. The SABIAN's B20 bronze construction and high-impact hammering deliver professional-grade tonal complexity in a budget-friendly package.
