What does the white cardboard packaging mean, and is the fixture itself affected?

The white cardboard refers to the packaging material only; the fixture itself is fully functional and built to Martin's professional standards. The cardboard packaging protects the unit during transit and storage with no cosmetic or operational differences from other versions.

Will this fixture flicker on camera or video?

No. The MAC Aura XB runs at 1,200 Hz beam refresh and 4,395 Hz aura refresh, eliminating flicker in video and high-speed camera work—essential for broadcast, streaming, and theater applications.

How does the color mixing work, and can I mix warm and cool tones?

The fixture features independent RGBW beam mixing and separate RGB aura LED mixing, allowing seamless color transitions. Variable CTO (color temperature override) control ranges from 10,000 K (cool daylight) to 2,500 K (deep amber), so you can dial in any white or color wash without color wheels.

Is this fixture small enough for a compact touring rig?

Yes. At 6.5 kg and 302 mm wide, the MAC Aura XB is genuinely portable and fits tight truck and venue spaces. It delivers 6,000 lumens in wide mode and 220,000 cd peak intensity—serious output for its size class.

What DMX setup does this require, and is it compatible with standard control systems?

The MAC Aura XB is fully DMX512-A compliant with selectable 14 or 25 DMX channel modes and RDM support, making it plug-and-play into any standard lighting console or control rig.

Do I pay sales tax on this order?

On this item that is roughly $359 less out the door than the same listed price at a national retailer or on a marketplace.
