Larrivee DV-03ME Custom 12 Strings Dreadnought Cutaway Guitar Molasses

Larrivee DV-03ME Custom 12-String Dreadnought Cutaway Guitar – Molasses

The cutaway body of this Larrivee DV-03ME reduces fatigue during tracking and overdub sessions, while the responsive dreadnought design delivers commanding, full-bodied 12-string resonance that sits beautifully in dense mixes with shimmering harmonic complexity. The molasses finish reveals premium tonewoods beneath, capturing remarkable clarity and sustain on mic—articulate and bell-like in character across fingerstyle layers, folk beds, indie arrangements, and studio production work. The smooth neck enables fluid chord stacking and intricate picking patterns for layered recordings, while the 12-string configuration creates an instantly lush, cathedral-like chorus that translates powerfully to tape and digital capture alike.

Recording & Session Performance

The cutaway dreadnought design balances hands-on comfort during extended tracking takes with the full resonance and projection needed for professional studio capture. The buttery-smooth neck facilitates both intricate fingerstyle passages and confident rhythmic strumming—equally reliable for single-pass recordings or multiple layered passes in the same session.

Tone & Mix Integration

The 12-string configuration produces a naturally lush, orchestral chorus that reads clearly on playback, while the premium tonewoods deliver punchy, articulate fundamentals paired with ethereal sustain. The result is a simultaneously bright and warm voice that anchors acoustic arrangements without muddying the mix in production contexts.
