Description
LANEY LX15-RED 15W Guitar Combo Amplifier
The LANEY LX15-RED is a compact 15-watt combo engineered for home studio and project recording work. Its lightweight construction and modest footprint fit seamlessly into tight spaces without sacrificing tonal character. The amp tracks playing dynamics responsively, with gain and master volume controls that separate for precise recording tone—from clean articulation to driven saturation—without requiring high stage volumes.
Tone & Electronics
A 3-band EQ tone stack (bass, middle, treble) combined with a Drive switch shapes tone across multiple styles and session requirements. The Bright switch adds clarity and definition when recording through dense arrangements, while independent gain and master volume controls enable you to push the preamp for tonal character while maintaining controlled output levels—critical for recording without distortion from mic-to-interface chain.
Design & Build
Dual 5-inch speakers deliver balanced frequency response ideal for close-mic recording and direct capture; the compact chassis weighs just 4kg, making relocating between rooms or studios practical. Connectivity includes a 1/4-inch guitar input, 3.5mm auxiliary input for playback of backing tracks and reference material, and a 3.5mm headphone output for zero-latency monitoring during overdubs.
