Description
JBL TV Spigot T
The JBL TV Spigot T is a compact passive speaker suited for small-format recording and mixing environments. Its lightweight, portable form factor works well as a secondary reference monitor on desks or console stands, offering a different acoustic perspective for evaluating mixes. This speaker delivers straightforward audio reproduction optimized for midrange intelligibility—useful for assessing how dialogue, vocals, and speech-heavy content translates across playback systems in your workflow.
Mixing & Monitoring Characteristics
The Spigot T produces full-range sound from a single compact enclosure, with tuning that emphasizes midrange clarity and presence. Output levels are modest but effective for near-field evaluation in small studios or as a supplementary listening reference. Its character makes it valuable for spotting midrange balance issues and checking how mixes translate on consumer playback systems.
Design & Studio Integration
This model features a simple plastic cabinet with a single driver configuration, designed for flexible placement and minimal acoustic footprint. Being passive, it requires only a line-level signal from an audio interface, mixer, or powered monitor output, making it straightforward to integrate into existing studio monitoring setups without additional amplification or control circuitry.
