Recording & Monitoring Performance

This subwoofer delivers controlled low-frequency extension from 32 Hz to 20 kHz with a 200 mm (8 inch) high-power, long-excursion driver featuring a high-mass polypropylene cone and 4-layer copper voice coil. Peak output reaches 121 dB SPL near corner placement, providing sufficient headroom to translate bass detail, kick drum articulation, and sub-bass information across mix sessions in medium-sized studio environments.

Setup & Signal Flow

The included two-piece wall bracket system with zinc-plated, painted cold-rolled steel components and multi-point fastening simplifies mounting to standard drywall or finished surfaces. The built-in crossover network with four satellite output connectors and Loop Out connector enable seamless integration with JBL Control Series satellites or routing to downstream monitoring chains, while selectable 70V/100V distributed-line or low-impedance operation accommodates flexible studio wiring and hybrid monitoring topologies.
