JBL CBT 70J-1-WH J-Shaped 2-Way Line Array Column Speaker, White
The CBT 70J-1-WH is a compact line array column speaker engineered for studio monitoring, tracking sessions, and small-to-medium live recording setups requiring consistent, controlled coverage with minimal footprint. Its J-shaped design delivers focused acoustic projection, making it ideal for reference monitoring in control rooms, isolation booths, and mid-sized venues where precise directional output and accurate frequency reproduction are essential to capturing and mixing great recordings.
Acoustic Performance & Coverage
This speaker achieves 117dB maximum peak SPL with a 500W continuous power rating (2000W peak), delivering substantial output for critical monitoring and tracking applications. The 60Hz–20kHz frequency range at –10dB ensures full-spectrum audio reproduction for accurate mix decisions, while the precisely engineered 150-degree horizontal and 25/45-degree vertical coverage patterns allow you to position the speaker for optimal listening zones in the control room or tracking area without reflective coloration or acoustic dead zones that compromise mix accuracy.
Design & Build
The fiberglass-reinforced ABS enclosure resists physical stress and environmental drift while keeping total weight to just 21 lbs—ideal for repositioning during session setup. Wall-mount hardware and multiple fly points are integrated for flexible studio placement and stand mounting, and the compact 27.4" × 6.7" × 9.3" footprint fits easily into control rooms, tracking spaces, and mobile recording rigs without consuming valuable studio real estate.
